Our most immediate concern is to place all cats and kittens in safe, loving, responsible, and permanent homes. Too often, wonderful animals end up in shelters because they weren’t a good match for their families from the beginning. We ask that potential adopters complete an application, go through a one-on-one interview with a Town Cats representative, agree to stay in touch with us, and pay the adoption fee which helps offset the costs of maintenance and medical care provided to all the cats we serve.
We look for people who intend to provide a home for the ENTIRE life of the cat and understand what that requires. We try to match your needs with the type and temperament of animal that will best fit your lifestyle. Our cats are available for adoption by appointment from our foster homes, and you can also meet some of our cats in person at a local Petco, Petsmart or Pet Food Express. We have 8 offsite adoption locations, one of them is probably in your neighborhood. We show cats at Adoption Fairs at various times and locations, please email us for an appointment to meet the kitties.
Our current (as of July 2014) minimum adoption fees are:
$125 for a single Kitten (Up to 6 Months Old) or adopt through our Best Friend program and adopt two kittens for one adoption fee of $225
$75 for a single Adult (Age 6 Months and Older) or adopt through our Best Friend program and adopt two adults for one adoption fee of $75

Senior Cats adoptions
Some of the cats in our shelter are older; they may have a little silver in their fur, but are calmer and not as likely to try to climb the curtains as a kitten. They often are just fine with being alone if necessary. Please consider adopting an older kitty! This video is a tribute to Red Dog, one of our older kitties who was adopted and much loved. Please view it, and think about adopting a wonderful older cat. Also ask us about senior cats for senior people program, if you are over 60 and the cat is over 6 years old then the adoption is FREE!
