APPEAL By the
These items do not come under the essentials category but If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.... Thankyou
Digital Camera - the Town Cats digital camera is very old now and really low resolution. We need something a bit newer preferably 2megapixels or higher to show these gorgeous cats and kittens to their best advantage and find them all the loving homes they deserve. Used cameras are fine as long as they are in good working order and easy to use by anyone.. even the least technical of user. RECEIVED - THANKYOU

USB Webcam
- We'd really like to install a webcam in the shelter, both for security and for our visitors pleasure. The software has already been donated but we need the camera and a USB extension cable 10ft or over. WEBCAM
RECEIVED - THANKYOU

Spotlights
- The shelter has very little natural light, we'd like a pair of spotlights similar to these from Target to help us photograph the cats and show them in the "best light" possible.
SPOTLIGHTS
RECEIVED - THANKYOU

USB Scanner - any brand would be great as long as it's in working order and the software & drivers are still available.
USB SCANNER RECEIVED - THANKYOU

Thankyou

Cat Mutilations
With recent news reports of a serial cat killer(s) in Utah and Colorado, Town Cats would like to remind all housecat guardians to keep their cats indoors for their own safety. Indoor cats live healthier and longer lives. Roaming cats are susceptible to disease, fighting, cars, dogs, and human cruelty. It is easy to have a happy indoor cat by providing cat scratching posts, window perches, private sleeping places and most of all, lots of interaction with your cat(s) by proving daily play and grooming time. To provide safe outdoor access for your house kitty consider screening in a porch, building an outdoor enclosure or installing special cat fencing around your yard--information and resources regarding these safe outdoor alternatives can be found on the internet or at local hardware stores.

Please remember that not all humans feel the love that you do for cats and unfortunately some extreme individuals will institute violence towards animals. A tame, friendly housecat does not know to be wary of humans so they are easy prey for anyone wanting to inflict harm on them. For the sake of your housecat, please keep them safely indoors.

Town Cats Needs Monetary Donations!!
Fall brings the round of kittens we've received this year
(see Town Cats article "Kitten Season").

This puts a strain on our medical budget because the majority of rescued kittens have one or a combination of ailments such as diarrhea, upper respiratory infection, (URI), ear and eye infections, malnourishment, injuries and other more serious medical problems.

Where possible we use a surrogate mom to give pre-weans the best start in life....

Also, we have already received many pre-wean (too young for solid food) orphans in April that need expensive replacement formula until they can eat on their own.

We are currently seeking extra monetary donations to help us meet our increased medical expenses as the annual kitten season gears up for Town Cats.

Please donate on-line via credit card or send donations to:

Town Cats
P.O. Box 1828
Morgan Hill, CA 95038

Food donations are also needed and can be dropped off at any of our adoption sites during our weekend Adoption Fairs (please see our Adoption page for locations and times)

Pre-weans require special care and attention to get them through the first few weeks. Without a mother they rely on us humans to do everything for them, food, warmth, cleaning & bathroom duties... everything a momma cat would normally do.

We appreciate any donation, no matter how small, to assist us with our life-saving work rescuing abandoned, sick, homeless felines and then finding each their very own "forever" home which all pets deserve.

The oldest feed store in Morgan Hill which also has been the home to many feral cats over the years has gone out of business and now the property's up for sale.

The feed store owners liked having the cats in their storage barns to keep the rodent population down and enlisted Town Cats help with the care of the cats and kittens, including trapping and neutering them and finding homes for the adoptable ones for the past few years.

Now that the property's for sale, we need to move the remaining cats to barn/ranch type situations. There's about 15 cats to move. Please if you have ever thought of getting a couple of "working" cats or more or are allergic, but like cats and would like to provide comfort to a couple of these guys, please contact us right away. The cats need to be held confined for at least 30 days to imprint their new territory and we will deliver them neutered, tested and vaccinated.

Please note they are mostly tabby short hairs young adults, about 2 - 3 years old. Thank you!
