| Los
Banos Cats/Kits Needing Foster Homes/Adopting ASAP
An urgent request from the
Los Banos Shelter:
Los Banos is a very small shelter in an isolated
town. Our adoption rate is extremely low so we rely on rescue to
save the lives of the animals that come through our shelter-averages
1400 to 1500 per year . We have 18 cages to hold cats. We are almost
full.
I've attached pics of some of those in need.
I have 3 cat families in desperate need. One mom has been in the
shelter 2 weeks but the more full we get the less her chances of
holding are. I've moved her to the laundry room in a kitty condo.
Her 7 kittens are just opening their eyes. All are healthy and beautiful.
Lots of color. One Siamese mix, looks like blue point. Mom is very
sweet and a good mom.
Mom #2 is tabby with 6 babies. They look to be around 5 wks, maybe
6. Kittens seem friendly. They are owner release. Mom is ok, scared
but I can pet her and handle babies.
Mom#3 is tabby/white with 3 babies. One is Siamese mix, one all
white(the runt, who also may be sick been keeping an eye on it)and
one white with black spots. Mom is also friendly and attentive to
kittens. They are about 3 to 4 wks. old.
Also have 4 kittens about 10 to 12 wks old, friendly. 3 are white
with calico and the 4th I think is white with orange, I didn't notice
any calico on that one. Avail. in a couple more days.
If you can help us with any of these I need to move them ASAP as
our ACO's are getting lots of calls for cat traps right now.
Thanks,
Laurel
