Assembly Bill 1634 - The California Healthy Pets Act - provides for universal spaying and neutering of dogs and cats over six months of age. The law will save millions of taxpayer dollars, reduce the forced euthanasia of adoptable dogs and cats, help our pets stay healthy, and safeguard our communities. Common sense exemptions are available for breeders, for purebred dogs and cats, for old or sick dogs and cats, for service dogs and cats and for law enforcement dogs and cats..
