The My Mutt Program from Pet Food Express:
How you can help!

The My Mutt program is Pet Food Express's way of raising support for local shelters and rescue organizations and increasing awareness of the most popular "breed" of all, the mutt. The large My Mutt pictures that appear on the walls of Pet Food Express stores are images of pets that have been adopted from various Bay Area shelters and rescue groups. These photos (click here to see a gallery of My Mutt photos) are Pet Food Express's way of celebrating these wonderful animals and also a means of helping out the rescue organizations and shelters that do the tireless work of rescuing animals and finding homes for them. We could not be more proud to display them on our walls and to play a role in helping these animals find new homes through virtualpetadoptions.com.

Anyone can participate in the My Mutt program by letting our talented photographer take a picture of their dog, cat or other pet to hang on our walls. Adopted purebred dogs and cats are welcome, too!

Here's how individuals can utilize our program to generate additional donations to their rescue organizations: When a supporter participates in the My Mutt program by donating at least $250 to the organization, their pet's photo will be produced & mounted on a wall of a Pet Food Express store. Pet Food Express pays all associated costs of producing the photographs and mounting them in our stores (We estimate that each photograph costs us about $400 to produce & install.). If an individual donates $500 or more, they may keep the photo after it has been displayed for about twelve months.

Pet Food Express and the photographer will retain all rights to the photos, but the donor may request a digital file of the image we choose to print. All donations should be made directly to the rescue organization. Confirmation of the donation on an application form can then be faxed or mailed to Pet Food Express.

Town Cats is participating in this program. Please contact Town Cats regarding donation information, if you would like YOUR beloved pet to be part of the My Mutt program, and assisting us in our continuing efforts! Many thanks, from the kitties and the volunteers!
