In Loving memory of Prue - 7 months old

Some of you guys will already know who Prue is, she was one of 7 kittens in a group I fostered last year. She came into Town Cats with her 5 Sisters; Kona, Toby, Ariel, Paige and Hana, her brother Scotty and Mum Keana.

We decided to Adopt Scotty & Prue as our Bob Cat Mr Bob was already in love with all of these guys and ready for some permanent friends.

Prue and Scotty both have had minor health problems and that was the deciding factor in our choice to keep these two out of the litter. Both had minor seizures which we believe were caused by a food allergy of all things. After a couple of minor seizures we had no problems at all when they returned to their regular diet.

Although we miss her terribly and it still makes me bawl like a baby just trying to write this, I can honestly say that we did the right thing.

She had 7 short, but wonderful months. The tough part is Scotty looks so much like her.. although quite a lot fatter. I miss her when doing this kind of thing, I'm the webmistress for Town Cats and trying to do updates whilst she bounced all over my desk looking for things to steal, laying on my hand so I couldn't use my mouse unless I gave her a cuddle, sitting on my printer watching me work... she made working on my PC an entertaining challenge.

I miss her most of all when I go to bed. Bedtime became a three ringed circus... It started out with one kitty, Mr Bob.. became 9 kittys and then back down to three. I miss not having to fight for my spot in bed, the minute you drew back the covers she was in there.... then she'd climb out and start jumping on your toes and then she'd be off hunting for a toy so you could play throw and fetch with her.. which is all well and good, but it was usually around 2am. Even right at the end she was still cuddly and that made it extra hard to say goodbye. She'd always been a skinny little kitty, but we didn't realize that it was as serious as it turned out to be. It was only the last week we really began to think that the problem was serious so I'm glad she was a happy if not so healthy little girl and that she wasn't in pain as far as we could tell.

Some things are just too hard to put into words .. for once in my life I really don't know what to say, so I'll let pictures do the talking for me. This is a celebration of a life too short, but a life well lived ...
