Being a mama cat is not an easy job! At Town Cats we have the occasion to come across a mom with kittens who are looking for a safe place to live. Many kittens come into our care without their moms for various reasons and they need a foster family to help raise them until they are old enough to be adopted. Are you interested in becoming a foster family? Help provide the heart and home and Town Cats will provide the food, supplies and medical support. http://www.towncats.org/ways-to-help/foster/
Mary says her family adopted Skitters (aka Midori) in 2008, and “We absolutely adore her, our funny little sweetheart. Hard to believe someone would abandon an adorable kitten like her on Moorpark in San Jose. Thanks for rescuing her!! She is the queen of our household.” Sure looks like it :-)
Jason and Ana saw Kelly Rose on Facebook when she was in a lot of trouble. A Safeway employee had found her in the parking lot abandoned and injured, and brought her to Town Cats. A Town Cats volunteer took her to Silicon Valley Veterinary Specialists where they discovered that the 8-week old kitten had bilateral femoral fractures. Dr. John Davies operated on her, and named her Kelly Rose. Many Facebook fans donated to help with her medical bills, and Town Cats fostered and nursed her for a month while she healed. Jason and Ana decided they had to have Kelly Rose, and about 2 weeks ago took her home. Jason says she’s settled in and getting along great with their other 2 cats. So many wonderful people came together…
Carolyn and her family sadly lost their beloved cat a year and a half ago, and all this time there have been no pets in the home. The family has been talking about getting a kitten for some time now with young daughter Claire being particularly persuasive about how vitally important it is to have a kitten in the family for everyone to love. Although brother kittens Rainbow Dash (now Tiberius aka Tibby) and Buffy (now Augustus aka Augie) find it hard to sit still, Carolyn was finally able to get a picture of the kitties with her kids, Kyle and Claire. Carolyn says, “We are so happy to have found the correct match for our family. We love them already.” Congratulations, everyone!
