Town Cats adopters Kyle Carbone & Lynze Silfies shared with us how Holly has settled into their home since being adopted to them 2 months ago: "Since the day she got here, she has brought so much joy to our everyday lives. She really enjoys working from home with Dad during the shelter in place and is always happy to greet us with the cutest little squeaks upon return from wherever we may have gone - even if it was just a 1 hour trip to the grocery store. When Mom & Dad cook dinner, she's usually right there behind us making sure we cook our meals to perfection accompanied by more squeaks. While we all love kittens and their playful energy, there's a peaceful bliss that comes with sharing silence and relaxation with a senior cat, especially when they're on your lap expressing their gratitude.   BENEFITS OF ADOPTING OLDER CATS The saying goes for senior cats, “What you see is…

Cat Blog Articles, News & Happenings, Vet's Corner
Ringworm Ringworm is not actually a worm; it is a fungal disease. It is caused by 3 different species of fungus and can infect any mammal. Cats are commonly infected and the disease can be spread to humans. It is predominantly a skin disease and in humans it appears as a red ring of flaky, itchy skin (hence the name ringworm). In cats, it look like any type of bald spot. Most commonly, cats get it on their face, head, all paws and tail. Young cats are more susceptible but it is also seen in adult cats.
