Town Cats has a long tradition of saving cats that otherwise would not have a chance. In 1997, we got our start as a grass-roots brick and mortar facility which was established by Rosie Mirko. Today, our organization has expanded into a robust foster-based rescue and resource center led by a team of outstanding and knowledgeable staff members, volunteers, and fosters.

Town Cats’ philosophy has always been Every Cat Matters, and we keep that mission on the forefront when stepping up to face the challenges of rescuing cats and kittens in our community. Young or old, healthy or special needs, friendly or feral: we provide a safe haven for them all. It’s important that as an organization we continue to take steps in the right direction to educate ourselves on emerging animal welfare policies, new innovative techniques for rescue, and providing the best and most advanced veterinary care for our animals. As we continue on into our 24th year, our goal is to remain steadfast on our mission of saving more lives and expanding our reach to the community. It is the dedication to our mission and the tremendous years of hard work by volunteers, fosters, staff, and generous donors that have allowed Town Cats to thrive.

Our vision for 2021 is to expand our programs in community education, fostering, and feral freedom. The expansion of these programs will allow the resources we need to take in more cats and kittens into our care and thus saving more lives in the community!
