While I’m always passionate about the work I do here at Town Cats of Morgan Hill, but there’s something else that’s got me pumped.
On May 5, Town Cats is participating in the second annual Silicon Valley Gives Day of Giving. Thousands of Bay Area residents are going to show their support for their favorite nonprofit during Silicon Valley Gives. On that day, every donation and donor we get will go further to help us claim our share of thousands of dollars in prize money.
I am very excited at the opportunity to raise the funds we desperately need just in time for kitten season. Spring is the time we receive the most requests to help newborn and abandoned kittens. Sometimes mama is too sick or hungry to feed her babies and we must help her too. As is the story of Snow, the white tabby who was too sick to care for her four premature newborn babies.
At the time of Snow’s rescue, two of her babies had died and the other two fought hard to survive but sadly died a week and a half later. Snow was recovering from a upper respiratory infection that caused severe ulcers in her eyes, but with help from our foster volunteers and the needed medication she was ready for adoption within a month. She was obviously someone’s pet at some point because she was sweet, very friendly and loved to be showered with attention. Snow found her furr-ever family on her third visit to the adoption fair at PetCo Blossom Hill. This work would not be possible without the compassion of dedicated of supporters like you.
