We’re celebrating National Foster a Pet Month with the Petco Foundation and Skechers’ charity footwear collection, BOBS from Skechers, by recognizing all of our incredible foster volunteers. Your dedication, love and care enable all of us to save pet lives. Thank you!
To kick off Foster a Pet Month, we’re celebrating one of our own Foster Heroes, Nannete Hopson. 
Nannette Hopson is an extraordinary foster whose compassion & efforts are critical to the success of our mission to save the most vulnerable cats in our community. When there’s struggling kittens that need extra care to survive, she jumps to the challenge and does everything in her capacity to save them. While we have many outstanding fosters in our network, Nannette is exceptionally skilled with caring for the tiniest bottle babies with unique obstacles.
With her hard work & TLC they’re on the road to recovery and are doing so much better! She has an incubator which is super helpful for at-risk kittens by providing them with a clean, safe environment and regulating the temperature and humidity for them. Nannette always offers to foster the kittens who need the most care, and she does everything in her power to help them thrive. She handles everything with a smile, and spreads joy to everyone around her. Fostering is a family effort in her household, and she’s always spreading the word about fostering to the community.
Nannette has been recognized along with fosters from across the nation as part of the Petco Foundation’s Pledge to Save Pet Lives which encourages animal lovers to adopt, foster, volunteer and/or donate this summer with a goal of inspiring 1.5 million pledges to match the approximate number of pets unnecessarily euthanized each year in the U.S. Take the pledge today at petcofoundation.org/pledge.
