Dear Town Cats Volunteers,

Happy National Volunteer Week.

This year, we want to take a moment to truly reflect on the impact each and every one of you has on Town Cats. Your dedication reaches far beyond the day-to-day care of our cats, it strengthens our entire organization and makes our mission possible.

Every day, we are inspired by your commitment, compassion, and unwavering love for the cats in our care. That care shows up in every detail, in their health, their confidence, and even in the way they play. The cats feel it, and so do we.

To our pet store volunteers, last year brought incredible challenges. Without a physical shelter and during a time of significant internal change, you ensured that our work never stopped. Because of you, cats in our partner locations continued to receive excellent care and found loving homes, creating space for us to keep saying yes to more cats in need. Even after transitioning into our Gilroy home, through ringworm concerns and other health challenges, you remained steady and committed. We are deeply grateful for your consistency and resilience.

To our foster volunteers, thank you for opening your homes and your hearts. You welcome cats who are shy, scared, or in need of medical care, and you give them the time, patience, and love they need to heal and grow. We know fostering is not always easy. It requires time, energy, and emotional investment. Because of you, these cats learn to trust, to feel safe, and ultimately, to thrive.

To our community and events volunteers, thank you for showing up again and again to support adoption events, fundraisers, and educational programs. Whether you are planning behind the scenes or engaging directly with the public, your efforts ensure that every event runs smoothly and leaves a lasting impression. Your presence helps us connect with our community and expand our impact.

To our Gilroy volunteers, thank you for stepping into a new space and helping us shape what it can become. Your flexibility, patience, and willingness to adapt have been essential as we grow into this next chapter. You are helping us build something meaningful, and we are grateful to be growing alongside you.

To our Board of Directors, thank you for your steadfast leadership and dedication over the years. Your guidance has carried Town Cats through some of our most challenging moments, including the pandemic and major organizational transitions. Because of your commitment, we have continued to evolve, strengthen our programs, and serve our community with purpose.

To all of our volunteers, please know this: we are endlessly grateful for you. You are the heart of Town Cats. Together, we are one team, united in our mission to provide the best possible care for cats in our community.
