When you adopt from a rescue or shelter, you're helping save lives. Town Cats is a no-kill shelter, which means we do not euthanize or transfer cats out of our care to make space. We've celebrated huge wins—saving over 600 cats in one year, creating new programs, going fully foster- and pet store-based, and expanding our outreach into schools and libraries. And we’ve also had our share of hard pivots—pausing programs, transitioning spaces, shifting our team. Right now, we’re in a new chapter. We don’t have a traditional shelter. The Town Cats Board and I are thrilled to officially announce that Megan Hasenauer has accepted the position of Director of Town Cats, and is responsible for all aspects of running the organization. She reports into the Board in this new role. We’re very happy that Megan has accepted this new challenge - she brings continuity to the organization with her almost 3 years of experience working for us, but she also brings exciting new ideas, and a passion for Town Cats and the people and cats that we work with.
