Volunteers Move Us Forward Written by Jose Parra At Town Cats, we operate cohesively as a team to effectively handle the day to day and prepare for the long term. Our tight-knit staff and board of directors work our magic to keep Town Cats ahead of the game and keep us agile at what we do best. As A Community, We Thrive Written by Jose Parra As 2020 draws to a unique conclusion, with all of its afflictions currently abetting all of our hampered plans for the short term, It’s that time of the season again. Late November is the prime time for reflecting and forming aspirations for future progress in our pursuits, so let’s do just that!  After almost a full year of uncertainty, Town Cats has held itself together stronger than ever before. However, nothing on earth can ever halt the annual procession of events that keep a shelter as…

Safe Halloween Kitty Cats Written by Jose Parra This day has come once again! Halloween is here, on a unique year of uncertainty nonetheless, but the spirit of the Fall season is at its peak by Halloween day. Regardless of your neighborhood is participating in the Halloween practice of Trick or Treating, there is another factor to worry about; our beloved pets! Pets, but more specifically, cats, are often the most bothered and harmed during Halloween night. Other than the harms from the outside, there are many other little infractions to look out for this Halloween night! Let’s start with the obvious, there may be many people roaming the streets in funky outfits looking to fright, but receive a treat! However, if there's anyone that wouldn’t appreciate the night of mysterious…

Sheet Day – Time To Play!

Sheet Day – Time To Play!

Sheet Day - Time To Play! By C. M. Saracco Sometimes, I wonder why it takes me so long to make the bed on Saturdays.  But one look at Little Lizzie, our 3-year-old rescue cat, and I have my answer. As soon as I strip the bed, she jumps on it, wide-eyed and enthusiastic.  She braces herself for the unfurling of the fitted sheet, attacking each corner as I attempt to tuck it around the mattress. This can take several minutes, as adjusting the sheet with a 12-pound cat running across it is no quick task. Next, I slip the pillows into their…
